Coco was the first perfume created by the Chanel house after the death of Coco Chanel. Perfume creator Jacques Polge tried to capture both her style and image, and the atmosphere of her Parisian Cambon street apartment in this perfume. Coco – as Gabrielle Chanel was called by close friends and relatives – is a reminder of her youth, when she tried to build a career of a singer and actor that she finally gave up because of haute couture. The beautiful fruity bouquet of the top notes includes peach and tangerine accompanied with the spicy sharpness of coriander. The heart is composed of delicate baroque flowers such as rose and jasmine, surrounded by the sweet fragrance of orange, mimosa, and sweet and spicy nuance of clove. The base notes of vanilla, amber and sandalwood softly end the composition. The perfume was created in 1984. Coco was launched in 1984.
